Fires and Freezing

Home ownership rocks. Yeah, so I leave to go to the grocery store yesterday ahead of Ty by about 5 minutes. He starts to shut off the lights to head to the gym and notices that the fish tank light is off. He flips the switch- it still doesn't work. He thinks it tripped the breaker so he heads down to the basement to find the main box on fire.

Thank goodness for Ty's obsession with cars and everything automotive including dry fire extinguishers. He was able to put out the fire and the electric company came out and turned off the power from the meter in but we had little luck getting an electrician out on Superbowl Sunday.
Bags packed, we headed to Tamara and Jeremy's house. They graciously allowed us to spend the night with them. Ty headed to work and I met the electrician at the house first thing this morning. After a full day of freezing in the house, reading, organizing, and detailing the refrigerator I am exhausted. So nice to have heat, and internet, and tv again!

A few thousand dollars later and grocery-less due to the 24+ hours without power I just have to thank God that we were all safe and that no one got hurt, including Bauer.

OMG! My immediate thought was with Little Bauer, home alone during the day! what a save, Ty.

I love you guys and I'm so grateful you're ALL okay.
